FRENCH RIVIERA TOUR • This tour brings us along one of the most dramatic coastlines in the world. From the beautiful Alpes Maritimes mountains to the famous Promenade des Anglais in Nice to the stone villages along the hillsides, this is one place you do not want to forget your camera!
We visit Cannes, Grasse, St-Paul-de-Vence, Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco, Monte-Carlo and Eze. The tour also includes castle and palace visits as well as a perfume factory and a wine tasting in a chateau in Provence. You’ll discover picturesque fishing villages, medieval hill towns, wonderful local markets and stunning coastlines. The area known for the rich and famous and their mega yachts is ours to discover!

DAY 1 | CANNES 3 NIGHTS • Arrive this afternoon at our hotel in Cannes, where we meet our fellow travelers. We have a welcome drink together as we get acquainted then enjoy a stroll around town before dinner.

DAY 2 | CANNES • Today we explore the “Inland Riviera” known for its “Provencal” charming villages and beautiful scenery. We visit a perfume factory and a medieval village now packed with art galleries, workshops and antique stores.

DAY 3 | CANNES • Today we explore the Cotes de Provence Vineyards for some wine tasting. We visit several wineries, including Chateau Sainte Roseline, where we have a special tour of the cellars. You will have the rest of the afternoon and evening free to shop, have some beach time and explore more of Cannes. Dinner is on your own this evening and I will be happy to give you some suggestions.

DAY 4 | VILLEFRANCHE 4 NIGHTS • We transfer this morning to Villefranche with stop in Nice where we will tour the Chagall Museum, the famous Promenade des Anglais, the Flower Market in the heart of Old Nice and make a stop at Castel park, where you will find the most famous views over the city. You will have the afternoon free in Villefranche before we meet for dinner.

DAY 5 | VILLEFRANCHE • We meet this afternoon for a walk to visit the Villa Ephrussi De Rothschild on Cap Ferrat. We will visit both the Villa and the gorgeous gardens behind the mansion.

DAY 6 | VILLEFRANCHE • Today’s theme is Glitz and Glamour as we visit Monaco and Monte-Carlo. We visit the Prince’s Palace, where we get a chance to see the changing of the guards, drive along the Grand Prix circuit and visit the casino in Monte-Carlo. We also visit the charming medieval village of Eze-le-Village, exploring the ruins and the wonderful cactus gardens. Views over the Riviera coastline are beautiful from here! Afternoon and evening are free to relax, perhaps some beach time!

DAY 7 | VILLEFRANCHE • Today we take the local train to Antibes where we explore this charming town and visit the wonderful Picasso Museum. The museum is located in the Chateau Grimaldi, which is built upon the foundations of the ancient Greek town of Antipolis.

DAY 8 | VILLEFRANCHE • Our tour ends this morning after breakfast. I will be happy to help you with any plans if you are continuing on with your travels!

Required Trip Insurance

Minimum Travelers
Minimum Travelers: We only run trips with 4 or more guests. If a trip has fewer attendees at 45 days before the trip dates, we will cancel the trip. However, if this were to happen, we can give you the option of a private tour with a surcharge applied.

We have partnered with boutique hotels that meet the Ciao Darcy standards of service.
Room Options
Double Occupancy: Double occupancy pricing is the price for (1) person to stay in a shared (i.e. double) room. In other words, each person staying in that room will pay the posted double occupancy rate. If you’re a couple or friends traveling together, please know that you’ll each pay the double occupancy rate.
Single Occupancy: Need some alone time? We hear you. That’s why we offer single occupancy rooms. The single occupancy rate is what you will pay to have the room all to yourself.
Roommates
If you do not have a travel partner, you can purchase single occupancy room and have it all to yourself! We do not pair up trip attendees because we find there is not enough privacy in the rooms to allow strangers to room together.
Please note: Many cities in Italy and France have recently implemented tourism taxes on hotel stays in order to “to ensure the quality of tourist, cultural and environmental services in addition to the efficiency of public transports.” We are unable to include these taxes in the tour price as the majority of hotels require the tax to be paid in cash upon check- out. The tax is usually 1 euro per hotel star per person per night. (A four star hotel will usually be four euro per person per night).
