We highly recommend that you arrive at least two days prior to your tour date in order to acclimate to any time differences. We can help with any recommendations for hotels for before or after your tour.
Arrivals and Departures
Once you have signed up for a tour, you will receive detailed information about where and when the tour will meet. Tours begin and end at a designated time and place, usually a train station or a hotel lobby.
Waiting Lists
We highly recommend early reservations as our tours are very small and can fill up quickly. We will maintain a waiting list and notify you in case of any cancellations.
Required Trip Insurance
Please note that trip insurance is required to join us on a Ciao Darcy trip. Trip cancellation insurance will protect all deposits and payments for land and air costs if you are required to cancel your tour. We recommend www.travelguard.com. FYI: most major credit cards (such as American Express, CHASE Sapphire, and Capital One) offer complimentary insurance when you purchase using their card.
Minimum Travelers
Minimum Travelers: We only run trips with 4 or more guests. If a trip has fewer attendees at 30 days before the trip dates, we will cancel the trip. However, if this were to happen, we can give you the option of a private tour with a surcharge applied.
Medical Insurance
We recommend everyone carry medical and personal insurance to cover hospital and other medical expenses and loss of baggage or personal belongings.
Tour Cancellation
Ciao Darcy, LLC reserves the right to cancel any tour due to any acts of nature and/or any other occurrence out of our control. Ciao Darcy, LLC is not responsible for any additional expenses (purchase of non-refundable airline tickets, visa fees, equipment or additional lodging). You will be at that time refunded the full tour price.
Responsibility and Release
You are responsible for reading the pre-trip information material and bringing with you all of the appropriate clothing and equipment, as well as acting in accordance with the customs and laws of the regions visited. Ciao Darcy, LLC reserves the right to accept, remove, or decline any trip member at any time for any reason. In such case, a refund equal to the actual cost of the unused services is the limit of Ciao Darcy’s’ responsibility.
Payment of your deposit represents your acceptance of the following terms and conditions. The undersigned Participant hereby agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Ciao Darcy, LLC., and Darcy Hemstreet. Ciao Darcy, LLC shall not be liable and does not assume responsibility for any claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss arising out of any injury, accident, death, cancellation, delay, alteration, or inconvenience resulting from any act of omission, commission or inadvertence of any hotel, carrier, restaurant or other company or person rendering any of the services included in the tour or caused by weather, sickness, strikes, quarantines or the willful or negligent acts of any other tour members or any cause whatsoever beyond the control of Ciao Darcy LLC.
Some days or activities are operated by local tour guides contracted with Ciao Darcy, LLC. These guides have been selected for the quality of the services and tours they offer as well as the desirability of the destinations.
Ciao Darcy, LLC reserves the right and trip participants agree to allow Ciao Darcy to take photographic, film or text records of any of our trips and trip participants, and may use any such records for promotional purposes.
Privacy Statement
Ciao Darcy, LLC will take all appropriate steps to keep your personal information confidential. We do not and will not sell, rent, or give away our clients’ personal information to other companies for them to use in selling others’ products or services.
